On June 29, 2024, at The Jotie’s place, the Espesyal Pinoy families gathered for a fantastic day of BBQ, swimming, and plenty of fun. The morning started off rainy, but luckily, by afternoon, the clouds cleared, giving us a perfect day for our get-together.
We had about 40 of us there, including a new family, Gjay and Noreen, with their sons Zack and Noah. It was great catching up since our last big Christmas bash.
The highlight was definitely the BBQ. We had so much delicious grilled food that we almost couldn’t move afterward!
The kids, fueled up on burgers, prawn, steak, chips with hummus, guacamole, and pico de gallo by Pio, jumped straight into the pool, splashing and laughing all afternoon.
One of the coolest parts was the henna tattoos. Gaby, one of our younger members, took center stage, sitting on a small stool while other moms eagerly waited to be decorated. It turned into a spontaneous and fun activity, with everyone getting creative with their designs.
We also took time to celebrate the June birthdays and say goodbye to the Perez family, who are heading back to the Philippines soon. It was sad to see them go, but we know they’ll always be part of our gang.
As the sun started to set, we packed up with full bellies and hearts, already looking forward to the next time we can all hang out and make more memories together.
