Paddling With Purpose
A Joyful Reunion with Filipino Dragons Singapore
What a Sunday to remember!

We had the incredible honor of paddling alongside the amazing Filipino Dragons Singapore during their Isang Bangkang Malaya 2025 event at Bedok Reservoir. It wasn’t just a morning of sport. It was a celebration of inclusion, unity, and shared heritage.
Our hearts are full of gratitude for being welcomed so warmly not just as guests or spectators, but as fellow paddlers. For many of our kids, this was their first time in a dragon boat, and what a beautiful moment it was to witness. There were smiles, laughter, paddles raised, and yes, even a few joyful tears.

What made the day even more meaningful was the deep sense of continuity and connection.

We fondly remember our first collaboration with Filipino Dragons back in September 2012, when their team joined our kids in the pool, paddles in hand, creating one of our earliest inclusive events. That memory has lived in our hearts for years.

Now, 13 years later, those same children are young adults, around 18 years old, each with their own unique capacities, dreams, and strengths. Seeing them step into the boat, supported and celebrated, reminded us that inclusion isn’t just a word; it’s a commitment. And Filipino Dragons Singapore have lived that commitment beautifully.

We are very grateful to the entire Filipino Dragons Singapore team for giving our children and youth a literal and symbolic seat in their boat, and a place in your hearts. They reminded us once again what true community looks like: where every individual, regardless of ability, is valued, encouraged, and cheered on.
Here’s to more waves of hope, strength, and unity.
